He says that Pakatan Rakyat (PR) will be stronger if Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim goes to jail.If there is one individual who has been divisive and absolutely unreliable for the opposition it would be PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang. At times, he sounds like Datuk Ibrahim Ali. At times, he sounds like a village ustaz. At times, he sounds so unhinged you have to wonder if he has got it all together.But what he does not qualify as is the leader of Malaysians. In the last few months, Malaysians, including many PR supporters, have had to tolerate the arrogance of Hadi, Mustafa and other hardliners in PAS.Hadi wants to be treated like the number 1 leader in PR but can't even attend a meeting. This is akin of a someone saying that he has the qualifications to be the CEO but does not want to attend board meetings.He is a scaremonger and uses May 13 riots, just like right-wing politicians in Umno. And yet, he wants to be the leader of Malaysia, multi-racial and multi-religious Malaysia.Fact is Hadi and Mustafa suffer from hubris. They actually believe that their position on the main stage of Malaysian politics is the result of their hard work and their standing among Malaysians.It isn't.Without non-Malay support, PAS would be what it has always been: a village political outfit with little traction outside the Malay belt. The evidence does not lie.Hadi could not even hold on to Terengganu beyond one term, and it was the same in Kedah.Its hold on Kelantan is tenuous and given the state government's dismal handling of the floods, the smart money is on PAS losing its final foothold in Malaysian politics.Perhaps then, Hadi can return to what he was before PR gave him national prominence: just a fire-and-brimstone voice in the village. And Mustafa can return to what he was: assistant to the village politician. – January 28, 2015.

คำวินิจฉัยหมอคุณหมอ : ตาและจมูกสวยมากเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับคนไทยคนอื่น แต่ปัญหาเรื่องฟันได้แก่ การสบฟันผิดปกติ, ออกเสียงไม่ชัด,ไหล่ข้างซ้ายตก,เมื่อพิจารณาอย่างละเอียดจะพบปัญหามากกว่าที่ตาเห็นเยอะมากในส่วนของคางหน้าจะต้องผ่าตัดแก้ไขให้เข้าไปด้านในอย่างมาก แล้วก็ต้องทำให้การเคี้ยวกลับมามีสภาพที่เป็นปกติให้ได้ บริเวณใต้ตาลึกมาก ทำให้หน้าดูไม่มีมิติ

ในกรณีของณิชากรนั้น ได้ทำการผ่าตัดขากรรไกร, ลดโหนกแก้ม, เสริมคางด้วยกระดูก ซึ่งเดิมเธอมีรอยยิ้มที่สดใสอยู่แล้วแต่หลังจากผ่าตัดออกมาแล้วยิ่งทำให้รอยยิ้มของเธอดูมีเสน่ห์มากยิ่งขึ้นไปอีก แต่ระหว่างการตรวจร่างกาย พบว่าณิชากรมีก้อนเนื้อเล็กๆ อยู่ที่หน้าอก ซึ่งมีความเป็นเสี่ยงที่ก้อนเนื้อนั้นจะกลายเป็นมะเร็งได้ในอนาคต ทางโรงพยาบาลจึงทำการดูดก้อนเนื้อตรงนี้ออกให้ก่อนที่จะทำหน้าอก

คำวินิจฉัยคุณหมอ : ฟันล่างยื่นมากกว่าฟันบนถึง 4-5 มม. ทำให้มีปัญหาเรื่องการสบฟัน,ฟันบนมีช่องว่างห่างกันมาก,ใบหน้ายาวและยื่นมากกว่าคนทั่วไป, หน้าตอบ,จะต้องทำการผ่าตัดขากรรไกร เพื่อเลื่อนคางให้เข้าไปด้านในและแก้ปัญหาเรื่องการสบฟันให้กลับมาเป็นปกติ,ปลายจมูกหนาเหมือนผู้ชาย จึงผ่าตัดแก้ไขปลายจมูกให้เรียวเล็กเป็นจมูกผู้หญิง

Menteri gelar 'rasis', PERKASA fail saman

NGO pendesak Melayu, PERKASA memfailkan saman ke atas Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Tan Sri Joseph Kurup kerana menggelarkan kumpulan tersebut “rasis dan cauvinis”.

PERKASA yang diketuai presidennya, Datuk Ibrahim Ali, mendakwa Kurup turut mengulangi kenyataan didakwa “memfitnah” tersebut semalam di Petaling Jaya.

PERKASA memfailkan saman tersebut di pejabat pendaftar Mahkamah Tinggi Kuala Lumpur pagi ini.

Dalam kenyataan tuntutannya, PERKASA mendakwa Kurup berniat untuk menyatakan bahawa NGO berkenaan merupakan kumpulan ekstremis dan menggunakan agama untuk cetus kekerasan.

Mereka seterusnya mendakwa, kenyataan Kurup menggambarkan bahawa tindakan PERKASA bertentangan dengan nilai dalam pembentukan negara, dan menyebabkan timbul ketakutan dan perpecahan di kalangan masyarakat.

PERKASA menuntut injunksi ke atas Kurup bagi menghalang menteri tersebut daripada mengulangi kenyataan terbabit.

Selain itu mereka turut menuntut ganti rugi teruk dan teladan.

Kurup didakwa menggunakan perkataan memfitnah dalam kenyataan media semasa malam sambutan Krismas tahun lalu.

PERKASA mendakwa, Kurup turut membuat kenyataan sama semasa satu konvensyen di Petaling Jaya semalam.

Kedua-dua kenyataan itu merupakan sebahagian daripada saman yang difailkan hari ini oleh PERKASA.

Kurup ready to meet Perkasa in court, to ‘defend national unity’

Minister Tan Sri Joseph Kurup denies ever naming Perkasa specifically in remarks attributed to him which condemned extremists creating discord in the country as 'public enemy number 1'. – The Malaysian Insider pic, January 28, 2015.Unfazed by the defamation suit filed by Malay rights group Perkasa today, de facto unity minister Tan Sri Joseph Kurup pledged to do "whatever is necessary to defend Malaysia's unity".In shrugging off the suit, the minister in the prime minister's department said he is ready to face Perkasa president Datuk Ibrahim Ali in court."I must have done something right for Ibrahim Ali to sue me. I will do whatever is necessary to defend Malaysia's unity and am prepared to face Ibrahim Ali or anybody else in our courts. Truth and justice will always prevail," he said in a statement emailed to The Malaysian Insider.He said peace and stability are the nation's "invaluable" wealth and the Barisan Nasional-led Federal government always strived to preserve these two pillars, which he described as “national treasures". Failure to protect, preserve and strengthen the nation's unity would lead to the destruction of the country's economy and development, he added."As a minister overseeing national unity, I made a stand to not tolerate racial and religious bigotry tearing apart the fabric of this harmonious society. It is both my responsibility and mission to see such incidents of extremism nullified," he said.In its suit filed at the Jalan Duta High Court earlier today, Perkasa claimed that Kurup had allegedly labelled the group as extremist.Perkasa is seeking an apology from the Sabah minister over his remarks as well as damages.In its statement of claim, Perkasa claimed that in two statements made on December 24, 2014 and yesterday, Kurup had allegedly accused Perkasa and another Malay non-governmental organisation Isma of being bigots who must not be tolerated.He had also allegedly said “we must not condone their extremist voices and actions".Perkasa said the statements implied that it was an extremist group that used religion to spark violence and cause unrest in the country. The alleged statements also suggested that the group had caused fear and disunity in the country.Ibrahim said because of such statements, Perkasa’s reputation has been damaged and the Malay rights group was viewed negatively by the public.However, Kurup yesterday said he did not mention Perkasa nor did he refer to a specific group when dubbing extremists who play up racial and religious issues as “public enemy number 1"."The simple logic is that if these extremists are instilling fear in our society, jeopardising our painstakingly built unity and trying to hijack the Malaysian way of life, they are, therefore, the nation's public enemy No. 1," he had said in his opening address at the 17th Malaysia Strategic Outlook Conference 2015 yesterday. – January 28, 2015.

Setia Alam house buyers sue developer, PKNS – Bernama

Ten house buyers in Setia Alam in Shah Alam, have filed a lawsuit against a housing developer and Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS).Ruhani Baharum, 46, Tham Kok Pew, 53, Wan Mohd Wan Hashim Yusoff, 40, Mohd Nizam Abdul Rahman, 38, Hong Hong Chik, 41, Hing Aik Choong, 37, Ng Kim Thong, 45, Razmair Shah Abdul Razak, 37, Nordin Hisham Mohd Hanapiah, 46, and Ku Kean Thong, 45, filed the suit today, through law firm S.Surendran & Co.In their statement of claim, the plaintiffs said in 2010, Sazean Development Sdn Bhd initiated a residential development project on a 143-hectare freehold property known as Anjung Sari@ Bandar Setia Alam, owned by PKNS.They alleged that in 2010, they respectively entered into a sales and purchase agreement to buy a three-storey terrace house valued between RM548,888 and RM741,902.They said a clause in the agreement stated that Sazean Development (first defendant) must provide vacant possession to the plaintiffs within 24 months from the date of the sales and purchase agreement.The plaintiffs claimed they had not received vacant possession of their house, and Sazean Development's response to repeated queries was that the snag was due to PKNS' delay in giving the required approval.According to the plaintiffs, they had paid nearly 95% of the purchase price of their house through bank loan to the first defendant.The delay by Sazean Development in delivery of vacant possession was a breach of the terms in the sales and purchase agreement, they alleged.The plaintiffs also claimed the first defendant's breach of the agreement was due to negligence and PKNS' failure to ensure that the project was given to a reputable company with experience and financial standing, and able to complete it on schedule.The actions of both the defendants, the plaintiffs claimed, had caused hardship as they could not reside in their dream home and consequently suffered losses as they were forced to pay rent while waiting to occupy it, or forego income from rental.In this regard, the plaintiffs are seeking specific performance compelling Sazean Development to fulfill its obligations under the sales and purchase agreement.Alternatively, should the first defendant fail to abide by the order, the plaintiffs want a declaration that PKNS together with Sazean Development must complete the project and deliver vacant possession of their homes within six months from the date of judgment, and bear the plaintiffs' losses incurred for rent and/or rental income opportunities.The plaintiffs are also seeking a declaration that the two defendants were liable for liquidated ascertained damages, general damages, interest, costs and any other relief deemed fit by the court.Meanwhile, Hong who acted as the plaintiffs' spokesman, told reporters that the action was taken as a last resort.The writ of summons would be delivered to the two defendants tomorrow. – Bernama, January 28, 2015.

Berhenti merokok boleh memberikan pelbagai kesan sementara kepada seseorang, baik daripada segi jasmani, psikologi atau tingkah laku.

Bagaimanapun, bagi Presiden Amerika Syarikat (AS) Barrack Obama, ia boleh mengundang kemarahan sebuah negara.

Kelmarin, semasa perarakan hari republik India, pemimpin negara kuasa besar dunia mencetus kontroversi apabila mengunyah gula-gula getah, dipercayai mengandungi nikotin untuk terapi merawat gian berhenti merokok.

Lebih mencuri perhatian apabila beliau ketika itu duduk di sebelah Perdana Menteri India Narendra Modi dalam acara rasmi sambutan hari republik India.




Tingkah laku Obama itu dikesan oleh koresponden Rumah Putih  Peter Baker di Delhi yang menulis tweet berbunyi:

“Obama kelihatan menikmati perarakan, ditunjukkan di televisyen India beliau mengangguk kepala seiring irama muzik. Nampak seperti mengunyah gula-gula getah, mungkin (jenama) Nicorette.

Tindakan Obama itu mengundang  reaksi bercampur baur di alam maya antara pihak. Ada yang melihatkan sebagai tidak sopan manakala ada juga yang mempertahankan Obama sebagai hanya seorang manusia biasa. 

Ini bukan kali pertama Obama menjadi perhatian media dengan tabiat itu. Perkara sama pernah dibangkitkan sebelum ini, termasuk dalam acara di China dan Perancis.

Obama dikatakan menggunakan gula-gula getah nikotin secara kerap bagi mengawal ketagihannya terhadap rokok.

Beliau pada 2009 mengakui sukar berhenti merokok kerana sudah menjadi tabiat sejak sekian lama.

Beliau juga menyatakan kebimbangan terhadap kadar kemunculan perokok baru di AS dengan 1,000 orang bawah 18 tahun terjebak setiap hari.

Obama adalah presiden pertama AS yang hadir ke acara sambutan hari republik India.

Kunjungan Obama bertujuan merapatkan hubungan serta mempertingkat “keserasian” kedua-dua negara itu.

กติกาปริศนาฟ้าแลบ

ในการแข่งขันแต่ละครั้งจะมีผู้เข้าแข่งขัน 2 ทีม ทีมละ 3 คน ประกอบไปด้วยดารา-นักแสดง 2 คน และผู้แข่งขันจากทางบ้านอีก 1 คน ผู้เข้าแข่งขันทั้ง 2 ทีมจะต้องส่งตัวแทนทีมละ 1 คนออกมาแข่งตอบคำถามภายในเวลา 2 นาที ซึ่งคำถามที่ทั้ง 2 คนจะต้องตอบนั้นเป็นคำถามชุดเดียวกัน โดยคนที่ยังไม่ได้เล่นจะต้องไปเก็บตัวนอกห้องส่งเพื่อไม่ให้ได้ยินคำถาม-คำตอบในชุดนั้น ส่วนคนที่ตอบคำถามจะต้องขึ้นไปนั่งบนเก้าอี้ล่อฟ้า ซึ่งเก้าอี้จะเลื่อนขึ้นทุกครั้งที่ตอบถูก และตกลงมาที่จุดเริ่มต้นทุกครั้งที่ตอบผิด โดยจะยึดคำตอบแรกที่ผู้แข่งขันตอบออกมาเป็นหลัก คนที่ตอบคำถามได้ถูกต้องติดต่อกันมากกว่าจะเป็นฝ่ายชนะในรอบนั้น (ในกรณีที่คะแนนในรอบนั้นเสมอ จะไม่มีทีมไหนได้คะแนนในรอบนั้น) ทีมไหนชนะได้ 3 ครั้งก่อนจะกลายเป็นแชมป์ และมีสิทธิเข้ารอบ Jackpot ต่อไป

Sekumpulan kira-kira 20 orang individu cuba menyekat Naib Presiden MIC Datuk M Saravanan daripada memasuki ibu pejabat parti itu di Kuala Lumpur.

Saravanan dijadual mengadakan sidang media berkaitan krisis semasa parti itu.


Kumpulan lelaki itu mendakwa dilantik oleh Presiden Datuk Seri G Palanivel dan Setiausaha Agung G Kumar Aaman sehari sebelumnya untuk menjaga bangunan itu.

Mendengar perkara itu, kira-kira 200 orang yang mengiringi Saravanan tampil menjerit: "Palanivel sudah mabuk".

Ketegangan itu berlanjutan kira-kira sejam sebelum tibanya pihak polis, diikuti orang ramai bersurai.

Bagaimanapun, drama itu tidak tamat di situ.


Sidang media Saravanan berlangsung 30 minit lewat daripada dijadual, di mana beliau menerima dua ancaman bunuh melalui telefon.

Saravanan malah memainkan ancaman itu dengan kuat melalui speaker telefonnya untuk didengari bersama kumpulan wartawan.

Pemanggil itu bercakap dalam bahasa Melayu dan mengancam hendak menembak Saravanan.

Saravanan kemudian mengejeknya supaya benar-benar menembaknya kerana “pemberita mahu melihatnya”.

Two men who escaped from police custody and were on the run for two years, were today sentenced to eight years jail each and whipping after they pleaded guilty to committing multiple offences, including gang robbery and fleeing from the cops.Hamzani Harun, 38, and Hissham Abdul Rahman, 40, pleaded guilty at the Butterworth Sessions Court to robbing Tann Suu Ee, 29, of 14 branded computers and RM1,000 cash on July 26, 2012 about 5.20am in Tasek Gelugor.They had committed the robbery while armed with machetes, an offence under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code, with another person who is still at large.Sessions judge Meor Sulaiman Ahmad Tarmizi sentenced the duo to six years jail each and two strokes of the rotan.The duo, who were unrepresented, appealed to the court to let them serve their sentences concurrently, since they were facing multiple charges.But their request was denied after Deputy Public Prosecutor Fauziah Daud asked the court to order the duo to serve their sentences consecutively because they were not sorry for the crimes they committed.At a Butterworth Magistrate's Court later, Hamzani and Hissham were charged under Section 224 of the Penal Code for escaping police custody.They pleaded guilty to the offence, which was committed with five others on January 7, 2013 at about 9.45am at Butterworth Outer Ring Road interchange in Bagan Ajam while they were being transported from the Penang Prison to the court to be charged.Magistrate Muhammad Firdaus Abdul Wahab sentenced the men to 20 months jail each. They will serve the sentence after completing their six-year term for armed gang robbery.Hamzani and Hissham were then charged under Section 28 (i)(ii) of the Minor Offences Act, read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code, for possessing tools and weapons, such as nine pliers, six screwdrivers, a hammer, a saw and four machetes, that were used in their armed gang robbery in July 2012.They also pleaded guilty before Firdaus sentenced them to four months jail each.Hamzani and Hissham also pleaded guilty to injecting morphine into their own bodies on January 21 this year at about 6pm at the district narcotics office, an offence under Section (1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.The duo face a maximum two years jail or up to RM5,000 fine for the offence but Firdaus deferred the sentencing until March 26 pending the pathology reports.Hamzani and Hissham, however, claimed trial when charged with hurting civil servants, Mohd Nazzwuan Md Zain, Mohd Azizan Ahmad, Muhammad Sharifuddin Ali and T.Mahendren, who were escorting them from prison to the court in Butterworth on January 7 two years ago when they escaped.Firdaus set March 26 for trial. Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd Khairul Fairuz Rahman prosecuted at the Magistrate's Court.Hamzani and Hissham’s two-year run ended last week when they were nabbed by the police in Jitra, Kedah.It was reported that curry or chilli powder was thrown at the policemen, who were then overpowered, in the police van during the escape. The seven fugitives then disappeared into an oil palm plantation in Tasek Gelugor and went their separate ways.The police launched an extensive manhunt around the mainland and in nearby Kedah. A few days after the escape, police shot dead two of them - Mohd Fairuz Adam, 31, and Mohd Noor Mustafa, 28 - who resisted arrest and fired at the cops in Kampung Padang Ibu in Penanti, Permatang Pauh.Mohamad Farid Akhtar, 24, and Mohd Shahrimi Mohd Noor, 28, later turned themselves in while Mohamad Khairulnizam Abdul Rani, 26, was nabbed at an Internet cafe in Bukit Mertajam.In March 2013, the trio were sentenced to two years jail each after they pleaded guilty at the Butterworth Magistrate's Court to four charges of injuring the four police escorts during their escape.They were also sentenced to another 18 months' jail each for escaping from police custody. Angry at visa fee hike, Indonesian agencies threaten to stop sending workers

Indonesian employment agencies are against the increase in visa processing fees and say they may stop sending workers to Malaysia. – The Malaysian Insider file pic, January 28, 2015.Indonesian employment agency operators have threatened to stop sending workers to Malaysia following a drastic hike in visa processing fees under a new system outsourced to Bestinet Sdn Bhd.The Star reported that Malaysian visa fees for Indonesians had been increased from RM15 to RM250 under the Foreign Workers Centralised Management System (FWCMS), which Putrajaya has outsourced to Bestinet, a private firm now in the limelight because of its directors who are closely linked to the federal government.The steep hikes had upset the agencies' operators, who threatened to stop sending workers to Malaysia.The English daily said Asosiasi Perusahaan Jasa Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (Apjati), the body that represents over 500 agencies, has written to the Indonesian Parliament as well as the republic's Human Resources and Foreign ministries, urging an immediate halt on sending workers to Malaysia.“We strongly reject the increase in fees. It is an exploitation of our citizens. Such an increase must be done through an agreement between both governments.“Malaysia should have negotiated with our government first," Apjati president Ayub Basalamah was quoted as saying.“What is worse is that, in addition to paying the new RM230 processing fee, the previous RM15 and other minor charges, we have to provide details of our workers to a private company instead of to the Malaysian embassy."The additional fees are a "huge burden" to Indonesians looking to either work or study in Malaysia, he added.The Star said Apjati is the largest association of private recruitment agencies in Indonesia, with its members sending more than 150,000 Indonesians to work in Malaysia each year.The hikes mean an additional cost of about RM34.5 million per year.Indonesians wanting to work or study in Malaysia are required to apply for a Visa with Reference (VDR) or more popularly known as "calling visa".With the exception of domestic maids, the visa fees are borne by the Indonesian workers and not by their employers.The Star cited Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim as saying that the embassy had been instructed by the Home Ministry to outsource the visa processing.Zahrain was quoted acknowledging the complaints about higher visa fees from workers groups as well as students wanting to study in Malaysia, since the new system took effect in December.He said the steep increase in fees was "fair" as the company had to cover costs, which included conducting background checks to prevent fraud.Unhappiness over Bestinet being given the task of visa renewals and processing previously done by the Immigration department, has deepened following revelations that the private firm's directors were former home minister Tan Sri Azmi Khalid and Datuk Tengku Omar Tengku Bot, who was previously director of the Labour Department.The FWCMS is a website handled by Bestinet, which will also handle online applications for foreign workers, their electronic temporary working permits (ePLKS), biometric health checkups and insurance, among others.All health check-up centres in the source countries, where the workers are from, are also compelled to use the Bestinet system.The arrangement had reportedly caused tension among labour agencies and the Nepali government when they were informed that they had to use the new system. – January 28, 2015.

This announcement comes a day after Denver police shot and killed a 17-year-old girl who they say was in a stolen car and struck and injured an officer.(Photo: KUSA)DENVER – The Denver Office of the Independent Monitor said Tuesday it will evaluate police methods when it comes to officer-involved shootings and moving vehicles.The announcement comes a day after Denver police shot and killed a 17-year-old girl who they say was in a stolen car that struck and injured an officer.The Office of the Independent Monitor, a civilian oversight agency for the city, said there have been at least three other officer-involved shootings involving Denver officers shooting at moving vehicles in the last seven months.The evaluation will assess the current state of the department's policies, practices, and training on shooting at moving vehicles in comparison to national standards and best practices from other police departments in the country.The announcement came after about 20 people rallied outside District Attorney Mitch Morrissey's office and called for a special prosecutor to investigate the Monday death of 17-year-old Jessica Hernandez.Morrissey wasn't there during the tense confrontation at his office, where chief deputy district attorneys Doug Jackson and Lamar Sims spoke over shouts and obscenities from some of the protesters.Jackson said he could not discuss the facts of the case but assured the group that the findings of the investigation will be made public when it's finished."You can decide whether we made the right decision or not," Jackson said.Police released few details about the shooting in a middle-class, residential neighborhood of Denver. They said Hernandez was one of five people in the stolen car and she drove at a police officer.The four other people in the car were not injured by the gunfire. ในการเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษนั้นการแค่นั่งฟัง อ่าน จด และจำอย่างเดียวจะไม่สามารถทำให้คุณเก่งขึ้นได้เลยหากคุณไม่หัดพยายามที่จะพูดและสื่อสารเป็นภาษาอังกฤษกับคนเป็นๆ อย่างชาวต่างชาติหรือเจ้าของภาษาได้ ก็จะยิ่งดี หรือถ้าจะให้พูดเก่งคุณก็ต้องพร้อมและกล้าที่จะ Speak Out นั่นเอง!
แต่แน่นอนก็คงมีคนจำนวนไม่น้อยที่ต้องเคยตกไปอยู่ในเหตุการณ์หรือสถานการณ์ที่ ต้องใช้ภาษาอังกฤษสนทนาหาทางแก้ไขปัญหาเฉพาะหน้าเพื่อที่จะเอาตัวรอดหรือไม่ ให้หน้าแตก แต่กลับไม่รู้ว่าควรจะต้องพูดอะไร หรือในสถานการณ์เฉพาะแบบนี้เราควรต้องใช้ประโยคหรือ ศัพท์คำว่าอะไร
